From being one of the worst teams in the NBA to enjoying an impressive bubble run in last season's Disney World bubble, the Phoenix Suns‘ young core has steadily improved. Chris Paul‘s arrival, though, led to the Suns' exponential improvement this season that has them two games away from their first championship.

While there's no denying the impact made by Paul on the Suns, the team's leader didn't fail to acknowledge his younger teammates during a press conference ahead of Game 3.

“We have a very fun team. You know, guys who try not to take themselves too serious, and I think that’s what’s really good about our team. One of the things we say before we run out on the court is, you can be so serious and all that, we say have fun, have fun. And I think that’s what keeps us focus, is remembering that this is a game, we gotta go out there and enjoy ourselves.”

No doubt. The Suns are enjoying their ride. Why wouldn't they?

Outside of Paul, rising stars Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton exude positive energy with their youth and talent. Cameron Payne is having an underdog story after being written off by his former teams. No one hears any complaints from Jae Crowder and Mikal Bridges as they stay ready whenever their star teammates need backup.

The combined experiences of his teammates still pale in comparison to Chris Paul's but that doesn't make CP3 the “be all end all” for the Suns. Phoenix has created a team-oriented culture that starts with Paul and head coach Monty Williams.

It's a beauty.
