On Sunday night, Phoenix Suns big man Deandre Ayton dropped a huge 26-point, 18-rebound double-double in his team's 111-103 defeat against the Brooklyn Nets.
The 20-year-old has been on a hot streak of late, and after tonight's spectacular showing, Ayton became the first rookie in franchise history to record five straight double-doubles. This feat was pointed out by a Redditor that goes by the username JaguarGator9, who also mentioned that Ayton just broke the record previously held by a number of Suns legends in Kevin Johnson, Armen Gilliam, and Amar'e Stoudemire (all tied with four straight).
On Sunday, Deandre Ayton also notched one assist, two steals, three blocks, and just two turnovers in 32 minutes of action. The 7-foot-1 center also went 13-of-16 from the field to round out another noteworthy performance.

Dinwiddie himself has been having a huge year thus far and is slowly creeping his way into the Sixth Man of the Year conversation.
Speaking of individual honors, Deandre Ayton still remains in contention for this season's Rookie of the Year award. The Suns' first overall pick is currently putting up 16.3 points (on 59.0 percent shooting), 10.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 1.9 turnovers in 30.8 minutes per ballgame. Unfortunately for him, Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic has been on another level and continues to be the frontrunner for the esteemed ROY trophy.
