The Phoenix Suns have suffered another significant blow to Jalen Green, after the latter injured his hamstring in early November. The team has announced he'll be out for another two to three weeks.

He came back, had another setback, and appears to have another. Funny enough, head coach Jordan Ott has teased that the progress has been good.

However, this raises the question of how well Green is. Even if the word on the street is that he's trending in the right direction, this injury update clearly states the contrary.

Still, the Phoenix has managed to have a nice start to the season, despite missing one of the rising young stars. They've managed to secure a play-in spot through the first quarter of the season.

The Suns have exceeded expectations, even without Green. Guys like Dillon Brooks and Collin Gillespie have risen to the occasion, while Devin Booker continues to run the show.

But there's a good enough reason to keep him on the sidelines. For starters, the team's record and standing in the Western Conference is in a playoff spot.

Also, Brooks and Gillespie are having career years and contributing to winning basketball. Finally, and most importantly, the last time Green came back, he was immediately injured.

Seeking his long-term health has been the main goal for everyone on the roster. Regardless of how much these guys want to play, the best ability is availability.

They've done it with Mark Williams and Booker with their respective injuries. Adding Green to the list wouldn't be too complicated.

It might come to the dismay of Suns fans, but having the athletic slasher for the long haul is the top priority.
