The Phoenix Suns provided some early fireworks in their exhibition against the Boston Celtics on Sunday afternoon in Orlando.
Suns guard Devin Booker and big man Deandre Ayton connected on a huge alley-oop after Ricky Rubio started the play in transition. Booker executed a touch pass to Ayton, who finished above the rim with one hand:

Though the Suns earned the right to compete in Orlando, they are on the outside looking in when it comes to making the playoffs.
Phoenix was the last team in from the Western Conference, and the club is currently 2.5 games back of the ninth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers. While that deficit might seem small, the Suns need to leapfrog four other teams just to reach a play-in tournament.
It remains to be seen whether the Suns can make a playoff push. But in the meantime, Booker and Ayton continue to offer a glimpse at the team's potentially bright future.
