Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James couldn't be more hyped after the NBA selected San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray as an All-Star replacement.
Murray and Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball were named as All-Stars on Monday, replacing the injured Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and Brooklyn Nets scorer Kevin Durant, respectively.
Upon hearing the news, LeBron took it to Twitter to share how happy he is with the selection. After all, the Lakers star himseld has seen how Murray worked his way up in the NBA to become the elite player he is today.
James quote-tweeted a post by Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, who shared the criticisms and doubts the Spurs guard received before he became an All-Star.

LOVE that kid!! Been in his ear since day 1. PROUD OF YOU @DejounteMurray 🖤🖤 https://t.co/Wj3z5npYui

Certainly, it doesn't get any better than that. Hearing such massive praise from the greatest player of this generation is undoubtedly a massive confidence booster for Dejounte Murray.
For what it's worth, Draymond Green–whom, as mentioned, Murray is replacing–also came in to support the 25-year-old all-around star and called on others to “stop judging people off their circumstances in which they can't control.”
Murray will now be heading to his first All-Star game, and he'll be the lone representative of the Spurs in the annual festivity. It remains to be seen in which team he'll end up with, but we have a feeling that LeBron James will be ready to take him if he's still available when he picks after the starter selection.
