The worst fears of the San Antonio Spurs came true on Thursday as the team announced that Tony Parker‘s season is over.
Parker was injured in San Antonio's Game 2 victory over Houston on Wednesday and had to be carried off the court by his teammates. An MRI revealed that Parker ruptured a tendon in his left quadriceps. He will miss the rest of the postseason.

Without Parker, the Spurs will need Patty Mills to play a larger role. San Antonio may also use Manu Ginobili at point guard and rookie Dejounte Murray could even get some playing time.
Despite San Antonio's solid depth, they will have an uphill battle without Parker, which is why Spurs fans were upset at the news:

Hate seeing this happen to players, especially vets.
