The San Antonio Spurs have gotten some promising news as Dejounte Murray who was in the Covid protocols, has finally cleared the protocols and will start reconditioning for return to the team. He had missed three games for San Antonio prior to his return.

The 25-year-old has been about the only positive for the Spurs this season as he's currently averaging 17.8 points per game and 8.4 rebounds. There is a good chance that he is going to be in NBA All-Star There is even a possibility that the Spurs decide to trade him because they clearly aren't in a position to currently compete for an NBA title. San Antonio is currently 14-20 on the season but has dealt with some injuries throughout the year just like every other team due to the Covid protocols. They lost a tough game on Friday night to the Memphis Grizzlies 118-105. San Antonio plans to take on the Detroit Pistons on Saturday in a game that is very winnable.
It is unlikely that Dejounte Murray is going to make his return for this game due to him still having to be ramped up after having Covid and being in the protocols. Even without him there, the Spurs should still be able to take care of business because Detroit has arguably been the worst team in all of basketball this season. San Antonio has played some opponents tough this season but hasn't seen those tough games equate to wins.
