It was a well-balanced attack from the Sixers against the Magic. Philly star center Joel Embiid, who is fresh off of his first All-Star Game appearance last weekend in Los Angeles, simply was unstoppable on the night. The 23-year old went off with a double-double effort for a game-high 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting, 14 rebounds and one blocked shot in just 27 minutes of action.
The Sixers improved to 32-25 and extended their overall winning streak to seven games. It also marked their 12th consecutive victory at the Wells Fargo Center.
This was a must-win game for a squad that aspires to secure a top-four spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Sixers are seventh in the conference standings with 25 games remaining.

Their upcoming road trip is going to very tough as they begin a three-game slate against Eastern Conference playoff teams. The Sixers will play the Wizards on Sunday night, the Miami Heat on Tuesday night, and then conclude their trip Thursday night against the defending Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena.
