In wake of Hurricane Harvey hitting Houston and nearby areas over the past weekend, there has been a large outpour of support across the nation.
Much of this has included many professional athletes and organizations making large financial contributions to the relief support. In line with that, San Antonio Spurs former All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge has announced that he's donating $100,000 to the cause.
I see @TRAEABN out there helping in Houston and doing it hands on. So I'm going to give $100k to help you keep going.

Aldridge isn't the only Spurs player to help out as his teammates Tony Parker, Patty Mills, and Manu Ginobili served meals at the San Antonio Food Bank on Thursday. Even Tim Duncan has put in his part as he partnered with BlackJack Speed Shop to donate supplies to the victims.
Each of the professional sports teams in Houston has helped the cause topped by Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander pledging to donate $10 million. Houston Texans owner Robert McNair is giving $1 million, and Houston Astros owner Jim Crane has put in $4 million. Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt has also raised $17 million to the relief effort.
This has been an all out effort from many in the sports world as there have been millions of dollars raised toward the relief effort. It has seen quite an encouraging wave of support throughout the country toward helping those affected by Hurricane Harvey and get them back on their feet.
