Phoenix Suns hotshot Devin Booker plays like an All-Star, scores like an All-Star, carries himself on the court like an All-Star, and even has a haircut of an All-Star, but at the end of the day, he is not an All-Star – at least in this season after failing to get enough votes from NBA coaches to make it to this year’s version of the exhibition game.

If Booker was frustrated over the snub, he did not do a very good job of hiding it. On Twitter, the former Kentucky Wildcat efficiently used just three words to express his disappointment.

Devin Booker, who was selected 13th overall by Phoenix in the 2015 NBA Draft, has plenty of reasons to gripe. He is averaging 25.0 points per game, and is one of only three players this season to put up that many points on a nightly basis, shoot at least 43 percent from the floor, and make 38 percent of his shots from beyond the area. The other two? Kevin Durant and James Harden. Both of them are going play at Staples Center on Feb. 1.

Perhaps the biggest obstacle for coaches in trying to consider Booker an All-Star was his team’s record. As of this writing, the Suns own a 17-30 record that is third worst in the Western Conference.

Despite the snub, Booker is likely going to be in Tinseltown for the NBA All-Star Weekend, as he is expected to participate in the yearly three-point shooting contest.

Booker is still just 21, so he will have several years to achieve his dream of being a bonafide NBA All-Star.
