Amid the storm surrounding the Phoenix Suns this week, comes a report suggesting that point guard Eric Bledsoe had asked for a trade prior to the start of the regular season, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7.
The radio talk show host noted his trade request had nothing to do with former head coach Earl Watson's firing, and that his reasons for wanting out date back to last season.
Bledsoe met with general manager Ryan McDonough this morning and was sent home from practice following the conversation. McDonough opted to send him home from practice and sit him out for tonight's game against the Sacramento Kings.
Teams are pursuing Bledsoe very aggressively, according to Gambadoro with a trade nearing seeming very likely.

The 27-year-old has suffered a 48 and a 42-point loss in the same week, clear signs that it is time to move on from this organization, as he seeks to play for a contender.
The 6-foot-1 point guard noted he did everything he was asked to do during his four years with the Suns, and while he loves the organization and the fans, has realized it's time to part ways.
