During the second quarter of last night's 124-107 win for the Oklahoma City Thunder over the Toronto Raptors, Thunder reigning MVP point guard Russell Westbrook and Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas got into a minor scuffle with one another. Thunder star forward Carmelo Anthony, who was on the bench at the time, was seen laying down on the hardwood floor.

In a video posted to Twitter on Thursday afternoon by Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript, Anthony gave his reasoning as to why he only turned over on his side to get a better view of the scuffle between Westbrook and Valanciunas. Would Anthony have run out there to back up Westbrook if he was younger?

“Yeah, maybe. I still wanted to be in the middle of it but I was a little bit too late. I was laying down and I saw it. Nothing really was gonna happen. So, keep my money,” Anthony said with a smile.

The Thunder (20-15) have plenty to be happy about lately, as the team has won six games in a row and seems to finally be playing up to its potential. They will look for their seventh win in a row on Friday night when they host Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.
