When it comes to stellar defensive play, Golden State Warriors star power forward Draymond Green is certainly an expert in that field.

However, when asked on Tuesday about the Utah Jazz's defense that is led by rising star center Rudy Gobert, Green couldn't say for sure that Gobert was the 2018 NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

“Their defense is really good, but I honestly can't sit here and say I've watched a ton of their defense to say Rudy has been the key,” Green said, via a video posted by Jazz beat writer Eric Woodyard of the Deseret News. “I know Rudy is a really good defensive player and a force, but I haven't watched enough to just say ‘yeah, it's him!' because I honestly don't know who it is. I haven't really paid much attention to it, to be honest with you.”

Green reiterated that he thought Green was a great player, but couldn't give a wholesome opinion regarding the topic because he didn't know enough to commit to one player.

“I know historically over the years, he's been very good. I'm sure with their defense being as good as it is, he's a huge reason for that,” Green said of Gobert. “I can’t sit here and say no but I can’t say yes, either, because I haven’t seen enough.”

The three-time NBA All-Star forward has been an NBA All-Defensive First Team selection for three straight seasons, which includes Green taking home the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year award for his efforts.

There is no denying that Gobert is one of the best defensive players in the entire league, but is he worthy of this year's award?
