Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is one of the countless people LaVar Ball has taken shots at over the past year or so. Ball boasted that his son, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball, would be better than Curry if they swapped places when Ball was at UCLA.
Curry isn’t interested in entertaining the elder Ball’s jabs, though. He claims to be sensitive about talking about someone else’s family and just wants to be as respectful as possible.
“I know what his pop said, but I want to be respectful,” Curry told ESPN’s Chris Haynes. “At the end of the day, if my pop said something crazy, I would have to kind of think about it a certain type of way, but I don't know what I would do or how I'd react to it. I'm very sensitive to talking about someone's family. I don't want to disrespect anybody. His pop has a mic on him at all times, and so he says some things. I'll leave it at that.”

It’s hardly surprising to learn that the mild-mannered, soft-spoken Curry doesn’t fancy getting into any sort of beef with the blustery Ball. It’s not in his nature and he would probably just get owned some more by Ball, who is a master at the mic.
Still, kudos to Curry for not stooping down to Ball’s level. It's that sort of respect and self-control that Ball could stand to learn and exercise once in a while, but again, it just doesn't appear to be in his nature.
