The Golden State Warriors have an injury-riddled roster right now, and could use some hand in covering some of the temporary holes in their lineup. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr believes he has an answer to ease the team’s quandary of having such a short rotation and that’s by signing another Steve. That would be Steve Nash. It sounds like an absurd idea, but Kerr was just joking, though. That said, you’d be lying if you said that you don’t want to see Nash playing in today’s NBA. Nash, who is currently the Warriors’ player development consultant, has been out of the game for three years now, retiring from the NBA at the end of the 2013-14 season after 18 remarkable years in league, but there’s probably at least an ounce of juice left in his legs.

The Warriors are missing Stephen Curry, who is nursing an ankle injury, so maybe Nash could actually step in and play at least five minutes per game until Curry comes back. That’s not going to happen of course, but the entertainment value alone of just imagining the possibility of Nash zipping a pass to Kevin Durant in transition is through the roof.
