It has been a tough go-around for the Washington Wizards over the last couple of weeks that has seen them experience many struggles on the court.
Injuries have played a significant part of it with John Wall dealing with a nagging sore left knee that required a platelet-rich-plasma injection nearly a week ago. The other half of the Wizards' dynamic backcourt duo, Bradley Beal, is currently working with an ailment of his own after taking an elbow to the eye on Wednesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Despite that, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington is reporting that Beal is expected to play in Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons.

This is an encouraging sign for the Wizards as the team could have been without the services of their entire star backcourt against Detroit. Instead, the 24-year-old will be looking to help Washington get out of their recent funk where they have dropped five out of their last seven games.
Beal is experiencing another highly-productive campaign averaging a team-best and career-high 23.2 points per game on 46 percent shooting from the field. He is coming off a strong month of November where he averaged 24.7 points per game and has put together 16 games with 20 0r more points this season.
