Russell Westbrook and the Washington Wizards almost pulled off the impossible on Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. Keyword: ALMOST.

The Wizards rallied from behind and were inches away from stealing a crucial road win. Unfortunately, Garrison Matthews missed what would've been one of the craziest game-winners this season.

The former MVP was once again on point on Wednesday with another impressive stat line for the Wizards. Russell Westbrook tallied his 179th career triple-double with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 17 assists, putting him just a couple shy of Oscar Robertson's all-time record.

Westbrook was huge as well on the defensive end. He tipped the inbounds pass from Jrue Holiday to record his third steal of the night on the Bucks' final possession. It would've been the play of the evening had Matthews' heave went it for the Wizards.

Aside from his last-second steal, Westbrook took the daunting task of manning the reigning two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo down the stretch. Giannis was scoreless in the fourth quarter when he was guarded by Westbrook. The fiery guard even drew a crucial charge in the 1:54 mark of the fourth to foul Giannis out. He definitely came to play.

Woefully, all those impressive feats came at another tough loss for the Wizards. Despite Russ' triple-double as well as Bradley Beal's franchise-setting 42-point evening, Washington continues their up-and-down season as they try to cling on to a play-in tournament spot.
