The Ohio State Buckeyes are set to lose a handful of key players to the 2022 NFL Draft. Among the most notable players set to join the pros include projected first-round picks, wide receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, but the team also stands to lose a lot of talent from the defensive side of the ball. Well, one key Ohio State defender has officially made his NFL Draft decision, as Sevyn Banks took to Twitter to reveal he would not be entering the 2022 NFL Draft.

Banks revealed he won't be joining the pros due to the knee injury that limited him to just four games this season, and will instead be returning to college in hopes of entering the 2023 NFL Draft. However, Banks did reveal his plans to enter the transfer portal, suggesting that it might not be Ohio State where he plays football in 2022. The DB didn't rule out the possibility of returning to Ohio State, but after a serious injury and withdrawing his eligibility from the NFL, Banks is keeping his options open for 2022.

Banks has played four seasons for the Buckeyes, featuring in a total of 24 games. He's never played in more than 10 games during a season, as injuries have hampered him throughout his collegiate career. Throughout his Buckeyes' tenure, Banks has one interception, 43 tackles, and one pass defense.

Entering the 2021 season, Banks had been projected as a potential first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to fully showcase his skills due to his injury, prompting him to withdraw from the draft in hopes of getting a full season under his belt in 2022.
