The Oklahoma Sooners took a huge blow to their College Football Playoff chances, as Lincoln Riley's team suffered a 27-14 loss in Waco to the Baylor Bears on Saturday. But it wasn't just the loss that Riley was feeling bad about.
Oklahoma's head coach voiced out his displeasure over the Bears' decision to call a timeout and go for a field goal with three seconds left in regulation of a game that had already been decided even before the time ran out.

And I still think above all else, there's a code of sportsmanship that I believe in. I wouldn't have done it. But that's his decision, that's his football team. How the officials don't enforce a 15-yard penalty when you probably got 5,000 people on the field is unbelievable to me. It is what it is. That's his decision. That's the officials' decision. I don't agree with it.”
In any case, Oklahoma is very much likely out of play for a CFP spot. Oklahoma entered Week 11 just eighth in the rankings despite being 9-0 overall. And with two games left on their regular-season schedule against the Iowa State Cyclones and the Oklahoma State Cowboys, there just seems to be not enough opportunity for Oklahoma to impress the CFP committee.
Still, Oklahoma will have to move forward and forget Saturday's upset as it looks to continue building on its resume for at least a New Year's Six appearance.
