Ben Simmons is reportedly nearing a return to action for the Brooklyn Nets as the team looks forward to the former Rookie of the Year making his debut in the coming days/weeks. As usual, the Nets have refused to provide a firm target date for Simmons but it is clear that the 25-year-old is working hard to get back into game shape.

A brief clip of Simmons putting up shots during a Nets practice is now makings rounds on social media. The 6-foot-11 point guard was seen practicing with none other than former All-Star Kyle Korver, who is widely considered as one of the greatest shooters the game has ever seen (h/t NBA Rewteet on Twitter):

The Nets are bringing in the big guns for Simmons, who has earned a notorious reputation for his lack of shooting prowess. Korver ranks in the top 5 for the most three-pointers made in NBA history so there's no denying that he's a good source for pointers for Simmons.

It is worth noting, however, that Simmons is not expected to play a major role on offense for the Nets. Brooklyn has Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving for that and they are both more than capable of carrying the load. It's not as if Simmons won't be involved on the offensive end, but it is clear that his primary role will be to serve as the anchor of the defense for his new team.

Nevertheless, it wouldn't hurt if he keeps working on his jumper, right?
