The unthinkable just happened on Saturday night as the Boston Celtics all but ended the season of Kevin Durant after putting the Brooklyn Nets on an 0-3 hole in their first-round series. Right now, the Nets are down and it looks like it's only going to be a matter of time before they're out.

Renowned NBA analyst Colin Cowherd quickly took to Twitter to take a jab at the Nets after their sensational Game 3 loss on their own home court. Cowherd believes that Brooklyn is going to end up firing head coach Steve Nash soon:

“Steve Nash will probably be the happiest coach that’s ever been fired,” Cowherd said in his tweet.

Unless the Nets win four straight games against a relentless Celtics side, then they're headed for an early summer vacation yet again. Last season, the Nets were eliminated in the second round by the eventual champs, the Milwaukee Bucks. It appears that they have taken a step back this season.

The Nets have one of the most talented duos in the history of the game in Durant and Kyrie Irving. If they lose to the Celtics in the first round, then someone has got to take the blame. Cowherd thinks that there's nobody else to point the finger at than Steve Nash.
