The Brooklyn Nets bested the Atlanta Hawks in a thrilling overtime game on Wednesday, 132-128. Nets superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving decided to make the memorable game even more memorable by giving their game-worn jerseys to rapper 2 Chainz after the match.

2 Chainz was profusely grateful for the kind gesture. He said Durant is one of his favorite NBA players and that he looked good on the court despite coming off a devastating Achilles injury.

The 6'5 2 Chainz or Tauheed Epps in real life is no stranger to the hardwood. He was a member of the Alabama State University Basketball Team from 1995 to 1997. The Atlanta-based rapper recently acquired a minority stake in the Hawks' G League affiliate College Park Skyhawks. He has also suited up in past NBA Celebrity All-Star Games.

Durant and Irving barely had time to catch their breaths as they each logged in 42 minutes against the Hawks. KD garnered 32 points, five boards, and two assists, while Irving totaled 26 points, four boards, and seven dimes. James Harden also had a monster game with 31 points, eight rebounds, and 15 dishes.

The three have admitted they are still adjusting to each other. But with the vaunted Big Three at the forefront, the Nets have high aspirations to hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy. They are sitting on a 12-8 record, good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

The Nets have come a long way from being the laughing stock of the NBA and are now one of the teams to beat, especially with the All-Star trio of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden posing problems.

That's bad news for 2 Chainz and all the other fans of the opposing teams.
