The Brooklyn Nets made a huge Kyrie Irving decision on Tuesday, but according to Stephen A. Smith, they'd like to get rid of him altogether.

The opinionated First Take host said that sources close to him have made it clear the Nets would trade Kyrie in a heartbeat:

“They're that disgusted with this dude.”

Stephen A has been very critical of Irving before. Last season, he basically took a leave from the Nets due to personal reasons. At that point, Smith told Kyrie that he should retire if he's not focused on basketball.

Now, with this whole vaccine thing, Brooklyn has laid the hammer down. They're focused on winning right now and if Irving doesn't want to buy in and get the jab, then the Nets will move on without him until he comes to his senses.

There had been concrete discussions about a possible Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving trade. The point guard then said he would retire if moved to Philly. This is all frankly getting out of hand and the Nets did what had to be done. It's not exactly fair to have him in and out of the rotation since he can't play in home games at the Barclays Center.

If you're asking Stephen A. Smith, then Brooklyn should just come him loose. Enough of the drama. Everyone else on the team got the vaccine, there's no reason Kyrie shouldn't as well.
