The Los Angeles Rams made their intentions to repeat as Super Bowl champions crystal clear during their championship parade in LA, and in order to do so, the organization will look to retain as much talent as possible in NFL free agency. One player they'll be hoping to lock down for another go-around is veteran linebacker Von Miller, but the latest reports indicate they could face competition from a squad close to the linebacker's heart. According to Pro Football Network, the Broncos are reportedly keen on bringing Miller back to Denver via free agency.
The Broncos aren't the only team reportedly expected to be in on Miller in free agency. The Rams, Chargers, and Packers are all among teams mentioned as potential landing spots for the 32-year-old.
Miller has voiced his desire to “run it back” with the Rams in 2022, but perhaps an offer from his former squad, where he played the first 10 seasons of his NFL career, could lure him back with an offer in free agency.
The linebacker was traded to the Rams during the regular season in exchange for a second-round pick as well as a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. It was a move that paid off for both parties, as Miller played a key role in LA winning the Super Bowl, while the Broncos loaded up on draft capital, which could potentially be used as a sweetener in an Aaron Rodgers trade.
The Rams are likely the favorites to land Miller's signature in free agency, but the Broncos figure to be closely monitoring his situation in case he's open to a reunion.
