If there is one thing that Cam Newton never lacks, it's confidence. That's what made him succeed in his early years in the NFL, and even though he remains without a team, that confidence never wavers.

In fact, during his interview on “The Pivot” podcast, Newton went as far as to claiming that he's still the best quarterback in the NFL and no 32 QBs are better than him.

“There’s not 32 guys better than me. On my soul, on my soul, on my soul,” Newton said. “At the end of the day, compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges, certain situations for certain situations, and if you think I couldn’t be on somebody’s team right now, you're a damn fool.”

Now that is a HOT take. Former NFL players Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor were also in the show, and clearly, they disagree with Cam Newton's take. Crowder even had to remind Newton in his face that he's already 33 years old and no longer capable of leading a team, even struggling during his time with New England Patriot and the Carolina Panthers in the past two seasons.

Of course there is only one way for Newton to show everyone he is still the best QB in the NFL, and that's by winning the Super Bowl. However, to do so, he first has to find a team that will give him an opportunity. Until he plays and wins again, there are at least 64 QBs better than him.
