A new report suggests that Colin Kaepernick has withdrawn his collusion case against the NFL, and his lawyer announced that they've reached an agreement.

In an official statement released by Kaepernick's attorney, Mark Geragos, it was announced that “the parties have decided to resolve the pending grievances.” Geragos went on to say that the details of the matter wouldn't be forthcoming because “it's subject to a confidentiality agreement.”

But according to Yahoo Sports, it was speculated that Kaepernick would only settle with the league if a hefty financial settlement was reached, so it's entirely possible that that's what happened.

“In a stunning move that strongly indicates a financial settlement between Colin Kaepernick and the NFL, Yahoo Sports has learned the quarterback has withdrawn his collusion complaint against the league and will take no further action in his case. While sources declined to offer specifics for Kaepernick’s decision, Yahoo Sports was told on prior occasions that Kaepernick would only withdraw his complaint if a lucrative financial settlement was reached between the quarterback and the NFL.”

The timing of the case was also suspicious, as the final hearing in the collusion case was set to happen at the end of the month.

The NFL declined to comment on the matter as of press time, and obviously, no direct statement from Kaepernick is forthcoming, either.

However, we will keep you apprised of everything that is going on as it becomes available, as well as any other announcements as they're made, either from the league or from Kaepernick, through his lawyers or otherwise.
