There is a lot to work out before the start of NFL training camp and the NFLPA might already be at odds with some of the plans the league has in mind. This is a unique year for NFL because of all the safety precautions that need to be put in place because of the coronavirus pandemic.
NFL training camp is set to open on July 28, and according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, rookies would be reporting on July 19 for COVID-19 testing. Injured veterans would report to training camp on July 23 for their tests and July 26 would be the full report day for everyone else.
Even though that is the NFL's goal it still hasn't been approved by the NFLPA. If it isn't approved soon though, training camps may have to be pushed back because there is still a lot of work that is left to do for teams to get their respective training camp facilities ready. One of the other big things that need to be figured out is how many preseason games there will be.
The NFL has already announced that the preseason will be cut in half to two games, but there might be even a pushback on that. According to Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, there have been concerns raised by union leaders whether there should be any preseason games played at all.
Article Continues BelowWhile the expectation for weeks has been the NFL goes to two preseason games, the NFLPA hasn’t signed off. and some in union leadership continue to question whether it’s smart to play ANY preseason games, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. Board of reps call Thursday. Stay tuned.

It seems both sides want football this fall but there is still a long way to make that happen. Time is starting to run out so an agreement needs to be put in place in short order to determine just what training camps, the preseason and ultimately, the 2020 NFL season, will look like.
