XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck, who is the father of former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, doesn't see any ‘hankering' from his son that he wants to return to football.

On an appearance on the Dan Le Batard Show, Oliver Luck said Andrew is doing well and he seems to be enjoying his time away from football.

“He’s doing fine,” XFL commissioner Oliver Luck said. “My wife and I spent some time with him and his growing family. He just got his first child about six weeks ago. We were with him over Christmas. He’s doing great. I have not noticed any desires to come back and play, but he’s doing very well.

When asked to confirm if that meant Luck had no interest in returning to the NFL, his father said that was the case. There were some who thought he might take a year off and come back to the Colts, but that doesn't appear to be in Andrew's plans.

It seems the Colts are going to have to build towards the future with Andrew Luck remaining retired. The team still has Jacoby Brissett under contract but the team doesn't seem super sold on him being the long-term option at quarterback.

The Colts can try to go through the draft or free agency to address the quarterback position, but the best option would probably still be for Luck to return. At some point, maybe money will talk, but right now it looks like Luck has no intention of re-joining the Colts, or any other NFL team for that matter.
