Over the last few months, Antonio Brown has been connected to a number of franchises in trade rumors, but a surprising landing spot in the Buffalo Bills reportedly won the sweepstakes on Thursday night. However, before the alleged deal, Ian Rapoport reports that the Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins, and Tennessee Titans “had leapt to the forefront” in trade discussions for Brown.

The Raiders were the betting favorite per BetOnline.ag to land Brown as of earlier this week, but on Thursday the franchise reportedly got cold feet in negotiations. Meanwhile, the Redskins were rumored to no longer be involved in trade talks for Brown as of Thursday, but Rapoport's tweet seems to contradict that. Finally, the Titans were another popular pick among NFL pundits to land the four-time First-Team All-Pro, ranking just behind Oakland as the second betting-favorite to get Brown.

At the end of the day, it was the Bills who reportedly made the best offer that complied what the Steelers were looking for, at least among the teams Pittsburgh was willing to negotiate with. There were rumors that the Cleveland Browns would made a run at Brown, but the likelihood of the Steelers trading a talent like him to a division rival were always quite slim.

The return for Brown has not been reported; as Rapoport notes, there are still details to work out before Brown is a Bill.

UPDATE: A later report from long-time Bills writer Vic Carucci states that the trade is not imminent, and is in fact “unlikely.
