Joint practices are a common thing amongst most NFL training camps, and as we get closer to the beginning of them, many teams are announcing their schedules. For the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Rams, this includes a joint practice session between both teams.

The Raiders announced today that the Rams would be joining them for two days of joint practices. With both teams scheduled to play during Week 1 of the NFL preseason, they should be practicing the Rams will travel to get in some practices with their crosstown opponents.

The Raiders training camp is held in Napa, and the joint workouts are currently scheduled to take place on August 7 and 8, with the preseason game taking place on August 10.

For the Raiders, this will be the only home preseason game for the team, as their other “home” game is set to be played in Winnipeg against the Green Bay Packers during Week 3 of the preseason.

For the Rams, this is just one of many joint practices taking place during their training camp. The Rams will also be holding a joint practice with the Los Angeles Chargers, with the Rams visiting the Chargers training camp on August 1, and the Chargers paying a visit to the Rams’ facilities on August 3.

It’s a good way for all teams to get a feel for each other, and especially see how they stack up against other legitimate NFL competition.

For the Rams, it’s also a good way to get some camera time in, as the Raiders will be the subject of this year's Hard Knocks, so expect to see the likes of Todd Gurley, Jared Goff, and Aaron Donald snatching some screen time sometime in August.
