The Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks will face off in the second week of the preseason on Saturday. It's time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Broncos – Seahawks prediction and pick.

The Broncos were one of the most successful teams in the NFL in their first week of the preseason. Denver destroyed the Minnesota Vikings by 27 points, but more importantly, they got good performances from plenty of their young players. Seattle wasn't quite as successful as Denver was, as they dropped their first preseason game to the Las Vegas Raiders by two touchdowns. The Seahawks will look to rebound in Week 2 and get more production from some key young players in the process.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the lines for Saturday's game.

NFL Odds: Broncos-Seahawks Odds

Seattle Seahawks +5 (-115)

Why The Broncos Could Win

Denver has two solid quarterbacks who will play the majority of this game, which almost always leads to a win in the preseason. Both Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater played good football in Week 1, and that shouldn't change against a Seahawks defense that will deploy third and fourth-stringers for most of the day. Both of these signal-callers should pick apart the defense and lead the Broncos to another great offensive showing.

The Broncos are known as a defensive team, and their backups showed why last game. The Vikings were completely incapable of moving the ball against Denver, even when the defense was filled with undrafted free agents and players of similar caliber. That's a testament to how well-coached these guys are, and that doesn't change from week to week. Seattle was completely abysmal on offense last week, mostly due to horrible quarterback play. This Broncos defense shouldn't have any trouble shutting down the Seahawks in the same fashion that they shut down the Vikings.

Why The Seahawks Could Win

Seattle didn't have many bright spots throughout their first preseason game, but the defense was one of them. They allowed only 20 points throughout the contest, an impressive number when considering that the Raiders had a huge advantage in time of possession and field position. Linebacker Cody Barton put on a show, racking up nine tackles and two sacks. Seattle also showcased their depth along the defensive front, with multiple edge defenders playing well in all facets of the game. Assuming the offense improves, which is almost a guarantee, this defense should be able to put together another impressive performance.

Now on to Seattle's offense.

It's pretty much impossible to play as poorly as they did last game. Backup quarterbacks Sean Mannion and Geno Smith are experienced NFL players who shouldn't have that much trouble moving the ball against preseason defenses. Whoever plays quarterback has plenty of promising receivers to throw to, as rookies D'Wayne Eskridge and Cade Johnson are both high-level prospects capable of outplaying most preseason defenders. Expect a big improvement from this offense, in part because they have nowhere to go but up.

Final Broncos-Seahawks Prediction & Pick

While the Seahawks will improve from their first outing, Denver should lock up an easy victory here. The Broncos' quarterback play is just so much better than most other teams in the preseason, which is almost always enough to score a win. It helps that Denver's defense is one of the most disciplined, well-coached units in football. Lock in the Broncos even with the spread in play.

FINAL PICK: Denver Broncos -5 (-105)
