The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills will play in an AFC East matchup on Sunday. It's time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Dolphins-Bills prediction and pick.

The Dolphins and Bills enter Sunday's matchup in very, very different places. The Bills sit atop the AFC East at 4-2, and even though they lost their last game to the Tennessee Titans, it was a tough road game vs. another playoff team and likely division champion.

The Dolphins have lost six straight games after their narrow Week 1 win over the New England Patriots, and Deshaun Watson-Tua Tagovailoa trade rumors have been swirling through Miami like a hurricane wind. This Bills are a huge favorite at home in this spot, and for very good reason.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the Dolphins-Bills odds for this Sunday matchup.

NFL Odds: Dolphins-Bills Odds

Miami Dolphins +14 (-110), +610 ML

Buffalo Bills -14 (-110), -900 ML

Why The Dolphins Can Cover The Spread

The size of the spread is the only reason to back the Dolphins, and even then, that's a bit courageous. Tagovailoa looked solid at times in Miami's Week 7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, but had a pair of costly interceptions that likely decided the game, as the Dolphins lost 30-28. The Bills are better than the Falcons on both sides of the ball, and have more talent at quarterback and rushing the quarterback than Atlanta does. Miami could be in trouble, as even last year when their defense was good, the Bills hung like 60 points on them in a game where the starters didn't play the second half. The Dolphins might cover, but there are surely better things you could do with your money.

Why The Bills Can Cover The Spread

The Bills are coming off a bye week and will look to get back into the win column for the first time since Week 5. This is probably not a good spot to be in for the Dolphins, as Josh Allen and company were rolling offensively heading into the bye. The Bills defense has been up and down, but they'll have a good shot to get on track against a struggling Miami offense. The Bills are 4-2 against the spread, while the Dolphins are 2-5 vs. the point line. The Bills should be in a good situation to find momentum on both sides of the ball vs. the scuffling Dolphins, there are certainly worse plays on the board despite the large spread.

Final Dolphins-Bills Prediction & Pick

Take the Bills to cover the large spread here. The Dolphins offense shouldn't be able to keep up with Buffalo.

FINAL DOLPHINS-BILLS PREDICTION & PICK: Bills -13.5 (-114)
