The Houston Texans broke social media when they sent DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals in a blockbuster trade. Among the players reacting to the head-scratching move, Todd Gurley shared his response to the Hopkins trade on Instagram.

Not too long ago, Hopkins and Gurley were seen together at a Los Angeles Lakers game in Los Angeles. Now, the two standout players are playing in the NFC West, with Hopkins heading to the Cardinals.

In the mind-boggling trade, the Cardinals sent David Johnson, a second-round pick, and a fourth-round pick to acquire the All-Pro receiver and a fourth-rounder. It's safe to say that Bill O'Brien might be the most hated person in Houston right now.

Following the trade, it was reported that Hopkins and O'Brien didn't see eye-to-eye. In addition, the Texans didn't show any signs of wanting to negotiate a new contract with DeAndre Hopkins. Therefore, his time in Houston was hanging in the balance as free agency began.

There's no doubt that Kyler Murray is celebrating as the Cardinals add arguably the best wide receiver into their offense. At the same time, Hopkins gets to go from one up-and-coming quarterback to another potential star quarterback.

On the other hand, it's interesting that Gurley would speak about Hopkins' trade with his name floating around in trade rumors. For the time being though, Gurley and Hopkins could be battling on Sundays in the same division. With that being said, Gurley could be having better days with a team not named the Los Angeles Rams next season.
