Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy has been a sought-after candidate for several vacant head coaching positions available across the league. However, reports recently emerged that his interview with the Atlanta Falcons didn't go so well.

Apparently, those reports turned out to be false as AJC Falcons beat writer D. Orlando Ledbetter debunked the speculations on Twitter.

The Falcons decided to do a house cleaning after they went through a 0-5 start to the season. They previously parted ways with their head coach in Dan Quinn where he garnered a 43-42 overall record through six years at the helm.  Former general manager Thomas Dimitroff was also booted out from the role that he was serving since 2008.

Former defensive coordinator Raheem Morris was then elevated to be the team's interim head coach for the remainder of the season where the Falcons ended with a 4-12 record and missed out on the playoffs. Meanwhile, the team's general manager position remains to be vacant to this day.

Bieniemy has been with the Chiefs since the 2013 season where he came in as the running backs coach until 2017. He then subsequently held the offensive coordinator role from 2018 to 2020.

The 51-year-old has already completed interviews with various rebuilding teams namely the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Los Angeles Chargers, among others. He was also previously linked to the Houston Texans' head coaching job but CEO Cal McNair opted not to interview him despite quarterback Deshaun Watson's desires to do so.

With the rumors now proven to be false, the Falcons fans are hoping that Eric Bieniemy will be the head coach that will lead them to greater heights moving forward.
