Desmond Ridder couldn't hold back his emotions after the Atlanta Falcons snagged him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Cincinnati product was largely expected to be drafted late in the first round or early in the second of the draft. However, he fell all the way to the third where the Falcons selected him with the 74th overall pick.

Now, in a recent video of the moment showing the Falcons calling Ridder to say they're drafting him, the 22-year-old admitted to feeling snubbed and warning the other teams that they messed up by passing on him.

“It shouldn't have taken this long,” Ridder told Falcons GM Terry Fontenot during the call, per CBS Sports. “They done f–ked up. I ain't even gonna lie.”

Desmond Ridder was the second quarterback selected in the 2022 draft, and while that shows how highly valued he is as a QB, he's clearly not happy to wait that long.

The good thing for the Falcons is they get a quarterback who is hungry and motivated to prove himself to his doubters and those that snubbed him. Having that chip on his shoulder should only push him forward and allow him to compete at the highest level day in and day out.

Ridder played four years in Cincinnati and recorded 810 completes passes on 1,304 attempts for a total of 10,239 yards. He also accumulated 87 touchdowns throughout his collegiate career.

The Falcons are certainly hoping they can see that same dominant Ridder in the pros or even a better version of him.
