The ATL's biggest sports star is doing his part and showing his support for the local Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night.

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young tweeted out his excitement over the Falcons selecting former USC receiver Drake London with the eighth overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.

London, who will not turn 21-years-old until July, was named First-Team All Pac-12 and the 2021 Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year en route to an impressive season in which London had 88 receptions for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns.

Young, whose season ended on Tuesday night after the Hawks lost their first-round series against the Miami Heat in five games, averaged 28 points, three rebounds, and nine assists per game on shooting splits this season of 51/38/90 from the field.

Following the Hawks making a surprise run to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, the Hawks struggled to find any consistency this season with a group that mostly returned the same roster from last year. The Hawks did manage to survive the play-in tournament, defeating the Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers back-to-back to clinch the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Despite the Hawks struggles this season, Young did have a 17-game stretch in which the star point guard scored at least 25 points, breaking the Hawks franchise record held by Dominique Wilkins.

Young also led the NBA in both scoring and assists this season, becoming the second player in NBA history to achieve that feat after Nate ‘Tiny' Archbilad did it during the 1972-1973 NBA season.
