With the New Orleans Saints having Alvin Kamara as the number one back, there are questions if the team will re-sign Mark Ingram.

It seems to be a smart move for the Saints to re-sign him if the price is right because of the one-two punch he and Kamara provided the team all season.

If the Saints decide to move on from Ingram he should be a hot free agent target but which teams make the most sense?

Let's break it down.

4. Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have done the running back by committee the last couple of years and if Ingram is willing to take a short deal it makes a lot of sense.

Ingram will turn 30 in December so signing him to a long term deal might be out of the question but he proved during the 2018 season he still has it. He rushed 138 times for 645 yards and six touchdowns.

If the Eagles were to sign Ingram, it would give them a big bruising back like they had with LeGarrette Blount the year they won the Super Bowl, but Ingram probably actually is an upgrade.

3. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have Marlon Mack, and he has proven that he can be a number one back.

Ingram would be a guy who would give the team a nice one-two punch and if the Colts decide not to go the route of Le'Veon Bell, Ingram would not be a bad consolation prize.

The Colts have cap space to sign him so that isn't an issue, and they are in a win-now mood, so there is no reason why the team shouldn't make a run at him.

2. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have Jerick McKinnon coming back from an ACL injury, and pairing him with Ingram would be a nice match.

McKinnon isn't on the same level as Alvin Kamara, but the two have a lot of the same skill sets, so Ingram could keep the same role that he has had with the Saints.

This is also a team that should be competing for a playoff spot if they get Jimmy Garappolo back, so spending money on Ingram would make sense.

1. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are a run-first team and they seemed to use Gus Edwards, a big bruising back, a lot last season.

Ingram would be a big upgrade over him and would be a really good player to line up next to Lamar Jackson in the backfield.

With a strong and consistent backfield, the Ravens would be tough for opposing defenses to handle.
