Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, once again, is cooking on the national stage. With his Ravens taking on the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, Jackson continues to shine en route to receiving some much deserved praise.
While many continue to praise the second-year signal-caller, the critics remain in bunches. However, the numbers don't lie as Jackson set another incredible NFL record on Monday evening in Los Angeles — one that will surely silence at least some of the remaining critics.
According to NFL Research, Jackson is the first player in NFL history to have more than 3,000 passing yards and 1,500 rushing yards in his first two seasons.

Although the Rams have yet to be able to stop Jackson both through the air and on the ground, the NFC West franchise knew exactly what it was getting ahead of the much-anticipated clash.

Their offense is scoring 34 points a game. They have a prolific running game. I was [coaching] back when Earl Campbell ran for 200 yards in four games, and this group's averaging 200 yards a game.”
With Jackson setting records before halftime even rolls around, the Ravens currently lead the Rams by the score of 28-6.
“Way back then, when I started, there were few teams that would average 200,” Phillips added. “But nowadays, nobody's even close to it. They're [averaging] 50 yards per game rushing more than anybody else, and they control the clock and score a lot of points.”
Thanks mainly to the continued success of Jackson, Ravens remain just a game behind the heralded New England Patriots in the AFC playoff picture.
