The Green Bay Packers were forced to make the tough decision to release Zadarius Smith into free agency this year. As expected, Smith has garnered plenty of interest from teams across the league. However, it sounds like the Baltimore Ravens are one of those teams.

According to Tom Pelissero, the Ravens hope to bring Zadarius Smith back to Baltimore. Smith has been a monster throughout his career and Baltimore has a massive need for pass rushers right now. He'd fit in perfectly and earn the starting role from the jump. This would be a great situation for Smith, as he'd join a playoff-caliber team in the AFC North.

Other teams rumored to be interested in Zadarius Smith are the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. We'll see how it all plays out though, as it sounds like Smith will have multiple options to choose from. He can take his time and choose which team makes the most sense for him moving forward. Regardless, a reunion with the Ravens sounds like a realistic option.

Hopefully, for the Ravens' sake, they can sign a veteran pass rusher. They're likely to select a prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft, but it would be nice to have someone like Zadarius Smith in the starting lineup. Baltimore may have to overpay to reel in Smith, but if it leads to a Super Bowl appearance then it's all worth it.

For now, keep a close tab on Zadarius Smith. He's easily one of the best defensive players available in free agency right now, making him a hot commodity all around. If the Ravens can sign him, then Baltimore will be in much better shape heading into draft night.
