With no one to pass it to, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson decided to take matters into his own hands. He ran the ball and juked the hell out of several New England Patriots defenders en route to a first down.

Peep the play below to witness Jackson's patience and presence of mind. Jackson took his time to let the play develop, hoping to sneak it a quick dime. The Patriots successfully zoned out the passing lanes. But Jackson quickly realized how to exploit this type of coverage.

Ahead of Sunday's duel between the Ravens and the Patriots, Cam Newton heaped praise on Jackson. Newton compared the league's reigning MVP to Michael Vick. He also singled out Lamar Jackson's explosiveness and overall dominance over the last two years. Newton, a former MVP himself, believes that he does not ā€œeven think Iā€™m in that stratosphereā€ as Jackson.
