The Buffalo Bills are playoff bound for the first time this century with the team punching their ticket to the postseason with a win over the Miami Dolphins in their regular-season finale. Unfortunately, the playoff berth came with a costly loss of running back LeSean McCoy to an ankle injury.

McCoy went down with the injury against the Dolphins causing major concern that he wouldn't be able to play in the team's playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Although there's still uncertainty about McCoy's status, head coach Sean McDermott believes he's got a chance to be on the field, via ESPN's Mike Rodak.

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott said Monday that running back LeSean McCoy has “a chance” to play in Sunday's wild-card playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Without McCoy on the field, the Bills would be a very different team on the offensive side of the football. McCoy is the driving force on offense for Buffalo and will be sorely missed as they go up against the hardnosed defense of the Jaguars.

McCoy finished fourth in rushing yards this season behind Le'Veon Bell, Todd Gurley, and rookie Kareem Hunt with 1,138. Despite the Jaguars dominance on the defense this season, they're 21st in the NFL behind the New England Patriots in opponent's rushing yards (1,860). However, they don't give up many touchdowns on the ground with only nine scored against the Jaguars this season (6th in the NFL).

McCoy's presence on the field will be crucial to the Bills' chances of coming out on top against a Jaguars team that no one wants to face in the postseason.
