Despite the year-long struggles from the Buffalo Bills throughout the 2017 NFL season, they still somehow find themselves in position for a potential playoff berth. Aside from their blue-collar defense, the Bills have relied on a heavy dosage of star running back LeSean McCoy to carry the offense.

As a result, McCoy is now set to eclipse an impressive milestone in Week 15, as he needs just 39 yards to reach 10,000 for his career. However, he does not want to stop there. By way of Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk:

“The main goal is I want to get 12,” McCoy said. “I want to get 12, surpass 12,000. That would be nice for me.”

McCoy is set to become just the 30th player in NFL history to reach 10,000 career rushing yards. That said, it is understandable why he would want to add another 2,000 to help him slide to the front of the herd.

“Shady” has consistently been one of the most dangerous weapons in the league for the past nine seasons. Not only is he an explosive runner, but he is also a dynamic threat out of the backfield as a receiver as well.

Needless to say, if McCoy can reach his goal of adding 2,000 more rushing yards to his career total, he makes a strong case for his bid into the Pro Football Hall of Fame when it is all said and done.
