The Cleveland Browns and head coach Hue Jackson are welcoming back formerly suspended wide receiver Josh Gordon. A talented, yet troubled player, Gordon has lately claimed he is a different person than he was before.

This could be huge news for the Browns, as they could desperately use someone as gifted as Josh Gordon at receiver, provided he is able to stay on the field. Furthermore, if Cleveland wants to count on him, Hue Jackson needs to buy what Gordon is selling.

Luckily for those who are a fan of multiple chances, Jackson is doing just that.

“I don’t think he’s [being untruthful],” Jackson said Wednesday, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “He’s had his butt kicked up over his shoulders quite a few times. At some point in time you mature. What I see is a guy who’s grateful for the opportunity to be back here, grateful to have the opportunity to be in the National Football League and wants to have a better life.”

In what can be considered a nice twist, Jackson admits it isn't only the receiver who has to gain trust during this new era of Cleveland football.

“It’s a two-way street,” Jackson said. “We also have to earn his trust. Over time it will show itself where we are, but we’re going to support him, and we’re going to give him every opportunity to do the things that he needs to do to be a part of this football team.”

Only time will tell how this entire return works out. Here is to hoping that it does.
