The Buffalo Bills signed a huge check ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft, extending Stefon Diggs' contract four more years. The $104 million contract includes a $21.5 million signing bonus, $70 million guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $26 million, per Spotrac.
Entering his eighth season in the league, Diggs has high hopes for himself and his team.
Bills beat reporter Jon Scott tweeted the star wide receiver's expectations for his career in Buffalo.
Stefon Diggs not even entertaining thought of shift in role at back end of his contract.
“They say your prime years are 28, 29, 30, 31. We’ll talk when I’m 31.”

As Scott reported, Diggs doesn't expect his role to change over his next four years in Buffalo. He believes that he has proven himself to be the Bills' number one receiver, and a few more years under his belt won't change that.
Diggs has a point. Both Tyreek Hill, 28 years old, and Davante Adams, 29 years old, just signed massive contracts. There's no doubt that these wide receivers expect the same respect and consistency that Diggs expects.
This past year, Diggs ranked seventh overall in regular season receiving yards. He had 103 receptions for 1,225 yards and ten touchdowns. In the postseason, Diggs picked up another six receptions for 67 yards.
There is no indication that the Bills would rely on any other receiver as their number one guy, especially with this huge contract extension. Diggs has been a reliable receiver for Buffalo since 2020, and he doesn't plan on exiting his prime anytime soon.
