Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson wants a new deal — that much is pretty clear. However, it remains to be seen as to whether the Bears actually wind up paying up in the end as Robinson's agent has since released a statement regarding his client's rocky status in the “Windy City.”

According to Robinson's representation, agent Brandon Parker, the veteran pass catcher doesn't necessarily want a trade out of Chicago but rather a new deal at market value from the Bears. It was initially reported that Robinson was expected to ask for a trade out of Chicago after removing everything associated with the team from his social media profiles on Tuesday afternoon.

The 27-year-old Robinson is far and away the Bears' best offensive player in addition to serving as the team's bonafide No. 1 option in the passing game. Originally signing with the Bears as an unrestricted free agent a few years back, Robinson was originally selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Penn State. After spending the first four seasons of his professional playing career with the Jaguars, he then made his way to Chicago ahead of the 2018-19 campaign. It is worth noting, though, that Robinson has proven his worth since arriving in Chicago, which came fresh off a significant leg injury that he suffered in what would ultimately become his last go-round in Jacksonville in 2016-17.

Robinson tallied just shy of 100 receptions for the Bears last season while surpassing the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the first time as a member of the team in 2019.
