Chicago Bears fans had dreams of the team landing Russell Wilson and instead will end up watching Andy Dalton under center in 2021. To say that move sparked fragile times that lie ahead of fans of the Bears would be putting it lightly.

What isn't helping is Chicago's push to make the Dalton signing look like a move in the right direction. While Bears fans would probably prefer being left alone, the Bears' own Twitter account keeps shoving Dalton content in their faces. The tweet from Wednesday will make you cringe.

That's right. That's black and white photos of Andy Dalton boxing tweeted out by the Bears own account with the caption, “Ready to rumble.” This is self-inflicted damage. They are pouring salt by the bowl in the wounds of fans everywhere. The responses to this tweet are exactly what you would expect:

It's one thing for Packers fans or Vikings fans to be piling on after the signing took place. But for your own team to not have the self-awareness to stop trying to make Andy Dalton happen is what nightmares are made of for Bears fans. They see this tweet and they are disgusted because they know everyone else looks at it and laughs. The Bears twitter account thinking this was the right move is TOUGH.

Had there been no Russell Wilson trade talk, had he not put them on his list of desired teams to go to, the Andy Dalton signing still would've been met with negativity, but not nearly as much.

All the ingredients of this recipe combined into one has Chicago fans already wishing it was the 2022 season.
