Former Chicago Bears standout linebacker Lance Briggs has long since retired from professional football. However, that doesn't mean that the Chicago legend isn't still tuned into the current Bears team—especially when the postseason rolls around.
On Sunday afternoon, as the Bears traveled to the bayou to take on the New Orleans Saints, Briggs didn't waste any time in taking to social media in order to let the world know exactly what he thinks about Chicago's lack of discipline and its coaching staff.
The lack of discipline and concentration on display today is alarming. You're either coaching this stuff, or you're allowing it. 🤬

The Bears were lucky to even be in the postseason, though Chicago kept the team's matchup against the No. 2 seeded Saints relatively close for the majority of this contest. With the Bears failing to score a touchdown until the final play of the outing, it was ultimately impossible for Chicago to come away from the Wild Card round with a win as the Saints rolled on to a lopsided 21-10 victory at home.
Prior to coming up short against the Saints, the 8-8 Bears came out of nowhere down the stretch en route to finishing the 2020-21 regular season in second place in the always dangerous NFC North division. Of course, the arch-rival Green Bay Packers finished with the best record in the entire NFC while capturing the divisional crown in the process. Because the Packers finished atop the conference, Green Bay received a bye to open up the postseason, but will resume the team's run toward a Super Bowl next week in the divisional round.
Unfortunately for the Bears, Chicago will be watching both the Saints and Packers from the couch like Briggs was forced to watch his former franchise on Sunday afternoon.
