Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy is on the hot seat and if the reports are true, he could be out of a job by the end of Thursday. While Nagy denied that being the truth, he hasn't exactly made his team believe he will be around for much longer.

During Tuesday's walkthrough meetings, the Bears boss apparently canceled the second portion of the day and also failed to address the rumors. Via The Chicago Tribune:

“Nagy canceled all meetings scheduled for the rest of Tuesday afternoon and evening, the sources said, a highly unusual move that prompted one source to wonder if Nagy is resigned to his fate.”

He also failed to convince the Bears players that he will be around for much longer which has left many of them frustrated with the direction the franchise is heading in. “Fire Nagy” chants rained down on Sunday at Soldier Field after Chicago lost their fifth-straight game and he even heard those same remarks at a local high school game where his son was playing. Needless to say, no one wants him around anymore.

The Bears will have a legitimate chance at ending their cold streak on Thursday though as they face the winless Detroit Lions at Ford Field. A win could potentially keep Nagy at the helm for a little bit longer but another defeat will undoubtedly be the last straw for him as the head coach of the organization.
