In his first campaign with the Chicago Bears, All-Pro outside linebacker Khalil Mack has been a game-changing factor defensively for the franchise.

His play has been largely impactful in helping the team possess one of the league's best defenses. It is something that New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has noted prior to their matchup on Sunday afternoon.

Mack has quickly stepped in as a huge factor defensively that has helped set the tone for them to become one of the best units in the NFL. He has provided consistent production off the edge as he has tallied 28 total tackles with five forced fumbles, 8.0 sacks, and an interception. Although his production has tailed off a bit over the last few weeks, he has been a highly productive and effective factor off the edge for the franchise.

His presence has helped lift the Bears to the next level defensively, currently ranking fourth overall along with being 10th against the pass, sixth in sacks, first with 20 interceptions, and second against the run and with 19.2 points allowed. Chicago has simply had one of the top defenses in the NFL that has been a large reason for their success on the field that has pushed them to the top of the NFC North holding an 8-3 record heading into Week 13. This has also brought a tremendous amount of balance to a team that has been lacking for quite some time that has made it a Super Bowl contender.

Mack will have a chance to make his impact felt against the Giants, who have one of the most problematic offensive lines in the league, sharing second place with the Dallas Cowboys with 38 sacks allowed this season. This could see another big outing from the Bears defense to push them closer to the playoffs.
