Bengals coach Zac Taylor told the media that Green continues to progress from an ankle injury and the bye week comes at a good time for him.
Green has missed 24 games since the start of the 2016 season because of different injuries. This latest ankle injury has taken a lot longer to heal than many expected, but it's good to hear that his return should be coming soon.
Earlier this week Taylor said that Green was progressing well but the team was because cautious and he didn't want to put a timeline on it.

The Bengals have had a really hard time scoring points this season and although Green might not be the savior, he would be a big boost to the offense.
Green said that even with the team's poor record that isn't going to hold him out longer. When he is ready and healthy he will be on the field with the Bengals.
“No, never. Everybody knows the type of guy I am. I not going to fake anything (and) I’m not gonna milk anything,” Green said. “When I’m ready to play, it’s time for me to go. No matter what the record. Nobody can hold me back when it’s time to play.”
The playoffs are out of the questions but it will be good to have Green back on the field in Cincinnati.
